The statements of Grand Ayatollah Haaj Sheikh YadollahDuzduzani about the killing of Shias in Bahrain, and Nourooz
Grand Ayatollah Haj MirzaYadu'llahDuzduzany (M.Z) in his Kharij Fiqh course dated on Wednesday 25/12/89, condemned the violent actions of the UAE and Saudi regimes’ operatives against the innocent and Muslim people of Bahrain, and his eminence argued:

"In a hadith from Imam JafarSadiq (peace be upon him) it has been stated that:
”Our Shia are happy with our happiness and with our sorrow, they become sorrowful and sad.”"
His eminence has said in defining farah:
"farah has two meanings: one of them is the ordinary joy and happiness and the other means extravagance in the joy which leads to jollity and debauchery. The second meaning is forbidden in Islam. When the man arrives home to his parents and sees them happy and healthy, he becomes happy and when they are sad and unhappy, he becomes sad. That grief and joy at the birthday of the infallibles (peace be upon him) and their dying days is consequently considered.
Their Holinesses are our masters and overlords and it’s thanks to them that we are blessed.
When I was seventeen or eighteen years old and I migrated to Qom, at the time there were some cards congratulating the ancient celebration, but we were not sending them to anyone, because we used to ask"what is the meaning of the ancient Eid?" The ancient Eid is not an Islamic Eid. We take a few days as holiday celebrating the Eid, while it has no Islamic and Shia aspect. These actions must not be reflected in the world in a way that it is imagined that we have forgotten the pain of the Shia. Unfortunately our mediause Islamic ceremonies such as the Unity Week or the Eid of Ghadir as an excuse, so they busy people with drums and kettledrums and musical instruments. One would be embarrassed by some actions which have spread in our society.
The narration of Muli-bin-Khnys which has been stated in the confirmation of Nourooz, is both poor in terms of the implications of document and is in conflict with other narrations in terms of reasoning.Among them is the hadith narrated by Imam Musa-Ibn-Ja'far who has said: “I do not recognize such an Eid from my ancestors.”We have to say that Imam (peace be upon him) intended to apply religion to the actions of this day by enjoining Sile-ye-Rahim, visiting, saying prayers etc. in case we would like to justify Muli’s narration.
Unfortunately every year cultural officials intend to make this Eid a bigger holiday using new tricks, last year they made it regional, and held ceremonies in Turkey and some of the central Asian countries, and spend a lot of money for that, why are they doing this? Why they waste Beyt-ul-mal (=public funds) in such ways?
Truth be told, this year because of this Eid, they also busied themselves with some dolls and unveiled a new doll which is called Baba-Nourooz, what are these things? These things are really beneath the dignity of an Islamic nation and a Shia government. Were we not rejecting the ancient Nourooz and false celebrations of that day forty years ago, which were held by the government of the time?! Now what has made us to forget?
Aside from these, can we not see the brutal killing of the Shia around the world especially in Bahrain? Can we not see their suffering and sorrow? Do they not have the right to live? For being Shia, do borders mean anything?
Is it not in our culture that: the human beings are parts of each other…
“O God! We complain to you about the loss of our prophet, and the absence of our master…”
All Muslims who live anywhere on this planet and in this world are brothers and sympathetic to each other, we need to feel empathy for each other, and it doesn’t matter to be here or there.
I hope the almighty God would acquaint us with our obligations and make Shia proud.
Please pray, so that there will be an opening in the problems of Shia of the World.
May Allah’s blessings and mercy be upon you"
